A long forgotten piece of Chinese lore as men who toil in front of a stove for hours grinding grain and mixing carefully from a recipe that was passed by word from one generation to another from the karst hills of Guilin to the yert tents of the nomadic north. But as we sat around the hot pot dinner table that was all thrown out the window as Racheal Shawen and Courtney Nonaka grabbed some dough and imitated a dancer who looked better suited to be a backup for MCHammer as the techno music reverberated through the building and he hiphopped his way to noodles for everyone. Alas, Rachael and Courntey did some semblance of what their grandmothers did at their senior prom and ended up with the same sticky bun they had when they started.
